Radiesse

Calcium hydroxylapatite filler that restores contour and supports collagen over time.

Radiesse

Overview

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) filler and biostimulator. It provides immediate contour and then supports collagen as the gel carrier absorbs.

It is often selected for jawline, chin, cheeks, and hands — areas where structure and a firmer feel matter more than a soft, watery gel.

Areas & what to expect

Treatable areas

Cheeks, chin, jawline, pre-jowl sulcus, and hands. Your provider will confirm whether Radiesse, an HA filler, or Sculptra is the better tool for each site.

Your visit

After mapping and numbing as needed, Radiesse is placed with needle or cannula. You will see contour right away; collagen-related refinement continues in the weeks after.

Swelling and firmness can last several days. We review massage instructions only when they apply to your specific protocol.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this treatment — your provider will cover anything specific to you at consultation.

Is Radiesse a filler or a biostimulator?

Both. You get contour in the chair from the gel, then collagen support as the carrier absorbs. That is different from Sculptra's slower, fill-later profile.

Can Radiesse be dissolved?

Unlike hyaluronic acid, Radiesse is not reversed with hyaluronidase. Placement and product choice need to be deliberate.

Is it used in the lips?

Generally no. Softer HA fillers are the usual tool for lips. Radiesse is chosen for structure — jawline, chin, cheeks, hands.
