PRFMHairRestoration
PRFM hair restoration for a more concentrated, longer-acting platelet matrix.

Overview
What is PRFM Hair Restoration?
PRFM hair restoration uses a platelet-rich fibrin matrix — a close cousin of PRP with a fibrin scaffold that may hold growth factors in place longer. The visit looks similar: a blood draw, processing, and scalp injections, sometimes with microneedling.
We recommend PRFM when we want that matrix effect, or when you have already tried PRP and we are adjusting the protocol.

Why patients choose it
Key benefits
- Platelet concentrate with a fibrin matrix rather than liquid PRP alone
- Same autologous safety profile as PRP
- Fits a series-based hair restoration plan
- Can be combined with scalp microneedling

Areas & what to expect
Treatable areas
Thinning scalp with viable follicles, evaluated the same way as PRP hair restoration.
Your visit
After the blood draw and processing, PRFM is injected into the scalp. Tenderness and redness are typical for a day. Follow wash and product instructions closely so we do not undo the work.
Plan on a series plus a maintenance conversation once results have had time to declare themselves.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about this treatment — your provider will cover anything specific to you at consultation.
Why PRFM instead of PRP?
The fibrin matrix is the distinction. We may start there, or switch if you have already done PRP and we want a different preparation.
Does it hurt?
Scalp injections are uncomfortable; we use techniques to make them tolerable. Most people manage without downtime from work.
Do I still need minoxidil or other medications?
Often yes. Injections are not a reason to stop proven medical therapy unless we change the plan together.
