PlatysmalBands/Neck

Neuromodulator mapping for platysmal bands and the neck when movement — not surgery — is the right first step.

Platysmal Bands / Neck

Overview

What is platysmal band / neck treatment?

Platysmal Bands / Neck is performed with Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, or Xeomin — we choose the product for your anatomy, history, and how you want to move. Vertical neck bands from the platysma can soften when we map neuromodulator along the bands — sometimes as part of a Nefertiti-style lower-face plan.

This is mapped to this area rather than a full-face default. The goal is a specific change, not a frozen face.

Platysmal Bands / Neck

Why patients choose it

Key benefits

  • Softer vertical bands when muscle, not surplus skin, is the main issue
  • Quick visit with little to no downtime
  • Results typically settle over 3–14 days and last about three to four months
  • Can be combined with other wrinkle-relaxer or filler work when the plan calls for it

Areas & what to expect

This treatment

Platysmal bands and, when indicated, the jawline–neck transition. Lax skin and fat are different problems; we will say so.

Your visit

Your provider reviews goals and movement, then maps injection points before cleansing the skin. Small amounts are placed with a fine needle; most visits take 15–20 minutes.

Avoid rubbing or lying flat for several hours, and skip strenuous exercise the rest of the day. We typically see you back around two weeks if a refinement is needed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this treatment — your provider will cover anything specific to you at consultation.

How is platysmal band / neck treatment different from a regular Botox visit?

We are treating neck bands, not forehead lines. Lax skin and fat will not vanish with units; we will say when surgery or skin tightening is more honest.

How long does it last?

Most patients see about three to four months of effect. Consistent treatment makes maintenance more predictable; it does not make results permanent.

Will I look frozen?

Not if we dose for this area and your movement. We preserve expression on purpose and would rather add units at a two-week follow-up than overdo the first visit.
